In 2024, Episcopal Migration Ministries and its network of local affiliates welcomed 5,396 refugees and 1,137 individuals with Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) from 48 countries rebuild their lives in peace and security in 13 communities across the United States.
According to the UNHCR’s global trends report, at the end of June 2024, there were 122.6 million displaced people worldwide, including 43.7 million refugees. From the moment they arrive in their new communities, refugee clients receive care, hospitality, and assistance from professional affiliate staff and from the many generous church volunteers who welcome our newest neighbors through this ministry each year.
